What would a Communist Britain name things?

The Isle of man is small and surrounded by the British isles.
As long as there's a place to quickly decamp, then it doesn't matter how viable it would seem to be in order to function as a redoubt. So, in that case, the Channel Islands could work out better (now just leaving the choice between Jersey and Guernsey).

It's more likely the royals head to Canada or France.
Canada was already getting rocked by the conscription crisis in Quebec during WW1 (in part because of the aftershocks of Regulation 17) and there's a fear, once Britain goes Communist (of course, even more horrifying if it leapfrogs Russia to be the first one - thus fulfilling what Marx predicted about an industrialized country being more likely to undergo a socialist revolution - thus going full circle back to the OP's question about Britain would call its new organizational system), that the labor movement would radicalize and pull a copycat - maybe even influence the US even further, what with its own union and labor issues thanks to the Gilded Age. So Canada is probably not a safe option for the Royal Family. Newfoundland, maybe, but it's far poorer than even the poorest bits of the UK at the time and, much like your observations about the Isle of Man, I don't see it as being viable unless there was a massive investment by the British military - and even then, that's not taking into account, if the US invades Canada, that it would make no difference between the two.

I see it be very realistic that the royal family and the Royalist government in exile flees to Canada. Now the King would just end up replacing the Governor-General in Canada, but many of the royals and British nobility are going to be living in poverty when they arrive. Much like the Russian nobles fleeing the Soviets. Yeah, India would get early independence, Spain might retake Gibraltar, Italy takes Malta, Northern Ireland joins the Irish Republic and Egypt expels the British. The British African empire might still continue for a while. Under the circumstances of losing the Home Islands, I think the dominions would have to establish a Commonwealth Conference and decide what must be done. I see the British Empire being divided between the various dominions or new dominions created outright. Canada would take the British colonies and territories as its own in the Western Hemisphere. Some might become provinces or territories, but I think most, especially in the Caribbean would be more of a protectorate status. British colonies in Oceania would orbit Australia and New Zealand's spheres of influence. British Malaya and Singapore might look to Australia for their protection. South Africa would take Rhodesia and the rest of British southern Africa, while East Africa and Nigeria would be new dominions. My thought is what becomes of the Royal Navy? Would it be divided between the various dominions or would it remain a force in exile?

During the Russian revolution the Baltic fleet sided with the bolsheviks while the black sea fleet sided with the whites and ultimately ended up being interned in Tunisia. During the Spanish civil war the navy split and ended up fighting each other. Either scenario is plausible during a British revolution

Unlike the French Communists, the British Communists anti-colonial and internationlist credentials were very strong from the beginning, and these were only ever compromised at the very height of war-time unity. They will not retain the Empire, beyond perhaps a few island territories like the Falklands and such.
The Soviet Union was rife with anti imperialist rhetoric. It didnt stop them co opting an extant empire, the one they took over, for their own ends. No one expects intellectual consistency or logic from communists.
My guess is that the declare anti colonialist sentiments of British socialist / Communists verse the Zardust's "exceptions always exist- well, for us" concept are going to collide in ...... Northern Ireland.

Northern Ireland has imagery that could move the Socialist / Communist hearts of the British government to tears- A contrived territorial possession that represents the vestiges of an imperial era best forgotten. An insurgency of national liberation that has always had a leftwing spin. That leftist spin gets even more defined as one moves beyond the IRA to the fringe groups.

Yet.... Northern Ireland also has imagery that could dry those tears and harden their hearts towards one of Zardust's "exceptions". Its been part of the Empire ( now presented as a "Union of Soviets" ) for a very long time. A majority, though not an overwhelming majority, of locals don't want to be "liberated" (but also have an unsettling right wing, reactionary spin). And..... the UK, and now Union Of Soviets, well, likes possessing Northern Ireland.

However the British communists approach Northern Ireland, its going to get "complex", real complex. I mean, is the IRA a truly authentic left wing spun liberation movement with a just cause? Or...... are they being manipulated by capitalists in Boston to do the bidding of the meddling United States?
