A soldier of the Commonwealth Army with armed with an F-88 Austeyr during a military exercise in Hawaii in 2004. These were slowly replaced with the M16 by 2008 while the M16 itself is slowly being replaced by the M4 Carbine by 2020.

M16A3/A4, an improvement of the M16A2 which includes a free-floating quad rail for the attachment of accessories. First produced by Delmarva, the rifle is now the standard issue rifle to various survivor states such as the Republic of Superior, the Republic of Florida, the Virginian Republic, the East America Alliance, the Outer Lands Republic, the United States Atlantic Remnant, and the provisional United States. The A3 variant is capable of full auto while the A4 variant is only limited to three-round bursts. It is now a direct competitor for Thales Australia's M4 Carbine.
